Cardiff Bay ToursCardiff Bay Tours provide guided coach, walking and boat tours around the City and Bay. Tours are tailored to all key stages and areas of the National Curriculum (geography, history, art, science, religious education, leisure and tourism). Half or whole day packages can be arranged to include a guided waterfront or city centre walk, coach tour, boat trip or road train ride. All tours include a visit to the Cardiff Bay Barrage - locks, sluices and fish-pass. School activities at Craft in the Bay
Craft in the Bay offers schools a fantastic resource where pupils can see craft work of an exceptionally high standard made by artists living in Wales . There is plenty of information on the artists and guided talks can be arranged on request. National and international exhibitions provide opportunities to explore contemporary art and craft work in a wide range of materials and styles. Practical workshops, either on site or at school, in specialist areas such as ceramics, sculpture, textiles and jewellery design can be designed to fit in with current school projects. for more information call +44 (0) 29 20 484 611.
Cardiff Harbour Authority offers curriculum-based geography trips to children in years 5 or 6, from September 2007 until March 2008. The Itineraries for the day are flexible and usually include a boat trip and clay modelling. Environmental tours introduce children in Key Stage 2 to the wildlife and fascinating ecology of Cardiff Bay from April until July 2008 .

TechniquestTechniquest is the interactive science centre in Cardiff Bay where children discover an appetite for science. There is a vast range of hands-on exhibits in the main area, covering all aspects of science, and a special programme of shows for schools. Techniquest is a popular destination because it offers specific experiences linked to the national curriculum, with themed weeks for Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. Every visiting group receives a lecture/demonstration in the Science Theatre or Planetarium, and the visit to the main exhibition is supported by written material for teachers and pupils. The Wales Millennium Centre can offer schools and colleges a range of educational visits with curriculum-based projects linked to a theatre programme, the building, or to a performing arts theme of your choice (with a lunch room available on request). Available in Welsh and English. Visits available for all Key Stages, from 09.30 to 16.30, Monday to Friday. Maximum number of 60 pupils per visit.
